The original graphite drawing was created for the 1999 Cowboy Artists of America Sale and Exhibition and it won a Silver Medal in the Drawing and Other Media category. In this piece, Clay Tyree has stopped to take a break, loosening and lifting the horse’s saddle to air out his sweaty back. After a short time, he will re-position the saddle; tighten everything back up and they will get back to work.
