$115.00 – $350.00

Description
In rough country where bulls are on the cows year-round, there are calves being born all year, so the cowboys always carry a running iron to brand any long-eared mavericks they might find. This painting was one of six pieces Bill created especially for the 2012 Cowboy Crossings Show at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, for the 47th Annual Cowboy Artists of America Sale & Exhibition. The painting measured 24×36 and was featured in the show catalog on Bill’s bio page; and depicted Brad Mead, Cowboss of the O RO Ranch, building a fire to heat his running iron, in preparation for branding the young maverick he’s roped and has tied down.
