Looking for Short Age Calves by Bill Owen

Owen stated, “During spring roundup there are always calves that are missed, were too young or weren’t born yet, who don’t get branded. By fall they’re pretty big when they finally do get branded and they are known as short age calves.” This painting was one of seven pieces Bill created for his 2008 Cowboy Artists of America Show & Exhibition, held each year in October at the Phoenix Art Museum. Bill’s peers, CAA Members, voted and awarded Bill the coveted CAA Award for the third time in his career, for the Best Body of Work.
