Description

Of this piece, created for and sold at the 2011 CAA Show ,Cowboy Crossings, the 46th Annual CAA Show, and the return to the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, Bill states, “The cowboy is Scott Westlake on one of the Babbitt Ranches in northern Arizona. The crew held the cattle up against the rocky bluff, a few miles south of the Tin House Camp, then branded all the calves by roping each one and going to the branding fire with them.” Note: This painting won the 2011 Traditional Cowboy Arts Association Award, selected by the entire membership of the TCAA from the CAA exhibition, for the best portrayal of a cowboy subject.
